CIWM has negotiated with the Open University for CIWM Members to receive 10% off the course fees for the Open University's CPD modules.
The Open Univesity Centre for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has launched a range of flexible online courses especially for people who wish to extend or update their skills but who are unable to commit to long-term sudy. OU CPD courses can give new skills, knowledge and ideas which can be applied in the work place. Most take around 30 hours to complete and can be studied at a time and pace to suit each individiual.
These Business and Management modules may also be of interest to those undertaking Structure Learning and Development.

Each course, taken from the continually expanding range of online CPD courses draws on all the Open Univesity's expertise in work based professional development offers:
Relevance to work - helps respond to actual challenges you face at work
Immediate applicability - use newly acquired skills and knowledge
Online flexibility - courses are 'chunked' into convenient 1-2 hour elements to enable you to spread your skills development to keep pace with your work patterns. In total taking 20 -30 hours, starting and finishing when it suit you (within course presentation patterns)

Guidance and feedback - An expert learning advisor will provide you with continuing guidance and feedback

An Award of Certficate - Each course can enhance your CV with an OU Certficate of successful completion - and can count towards your CIWM CPD.
