Futuresource expands again and brings in the big names

Futuresource 2009 is expanding again to meet demand for stand space from some of the industry’s leading names. The floorplan was extended by over 20% in July and has now been extended again, with a further 2000m2 of exhibition area. Overall, the show has now grown in size by over a third since bookings opened in May.

Waste Recycling Group and JCB are the latest big names to sign up, and the Futuresource exhibitor list now includes many of the UK’s major players, including Shanks Waste Services Ltd, Veolia Environmental Services, SITA UK, Cory Environmental, Viridor Waste Management, and Grundon Waste Management Ltd. The event is also proving popular with companies from across Europe, and closer to home, there is strong support from the devolved administrations, with the Welsh Assembly Government, Enterprise Ireland and SEPA all taking part.

“With over 70% the of the exhibition space sold and a dynamic conference programme to be announced shortly, Futuresource is well on course to becoming a major UK and European showcase for the sustainable waste, recycling and resource management sector and its clients,” says CIWM chief executive Steve Lee. “CIWM and ESA are also delighted at the number of organisations who will be partnering up with us to create a really informative, interactive event, including the Environment Agency, WRAP and letsrecycle.com.”
